Control your speed
Piste
Always adjust your speed to match how far you can see. Adapt your riding style and speed to suit your ability and the prevailing conditions. Being able to stop or take evasive action in time depends on how fast you’re going, how skilled you are, your equipment and its condition, the snow, piste and how much space you have. People who have an accident while riding faster usually sustain more serious injuries.
Terrain park
Estimating your speed correctly can prevent undershooting or overshooting. For any obstacle with difficulty level M or higher, you need to reach a certain speed to be sure of hitting the landing zone. As the size and width of the obstacles increase, a higher take-off speed is required; this also increases the risk of serious injury.
