Take a rest
If you’re physically or mentally exhausted, it’s time to take a break. Breaks help you stay motivated and focused and reduce the risk of riding errors or accidents. Several short breaks are a better way to recover than one long break.
There are lots of ways to take a break. You can simply allow your mind to wander on a lift ride. Taking in the view and working out what you can see is always a welcome distraction. In very cold temperatures and high winds, you should seek out somewhere warm for your break. Eating and drinking replenish your body’s energy stores.
Tips
- Tired? Take a break.
- If it’s really cold and/or windy, take shelter somewhere warm at regular intervals.
- Stop often to eat and drink.
This rest will help to replenish your energy.
